About Us

Are you passionate about climbing and looking for a fun, energetic work environment? The Boulder Barn is a vibrant hub for climbers of all skill levels, offering top-tier facilities, a welcoming atmosphere, and a great café to refuel between climbs.

The Role

We’re looking for a friendly and proactive individual to join our team as a Reception & Café Assistant. You’ll be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring a great experience both at the front desk and in our café area.

Responsibilities:

• Welcoming customers, handling bookings & memberships
• Providing information about the centre, events & pricing
• Assisting with café duties: serving drinks & snacks, keeping the area clean & stocked
• Processing payments, managing tills, and answering phone enquiries
• Supporting the team with general upkeep of the centre

About You

The ideal candidate will be:

• Self motivated, customer-focused with great communication skills and ability to use their own initiative.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, flexible, and able to work evenings/weekends
• Previous café/barista or customer service experience is a plus (but not essential!)
• Interest in bouldering/climbing is a bonus
• Flexible – willing to work evenings and weekends as needed
